Red Sox Call Up Top Prospect Roman Anthony

The Boston Red Sox have promoted Roman Anthony, MLB’s No. 1 overall prospect, ahead of a pivotal homestand. The 21-year-old outfielder replaces Wilyer Abreu, who was placed on the injured list with an oblique strain.

Anthony, who was tearing up Triple-A Worcester with a .288 average, .923 OPS, and 10 home runs in 58 games, solidified his case with a 497-foot grand slam Saturday — the longest homer in pro baseball this year.

A second-round pick in 2022, Anthony joins fellow rookies Marcelo Mayer and Kristian Campbell in the lineup, signaling a youth-driven shift in Boston’s roster. Despite a 32–35 record and ongoing injuries, the Red Sox hope their top prospects can spark a turnaround.

Just a man trying to eliminate the bias in mainstream media, and make relevant news more accessible to people than it ever has been. Don't feel obligated, but if you want to throw me a bone or two, I won't object.
