Well, the new Nintendo Switch 2 console is available to the public, but juding by the size of the crowds at local retailers, you may want to hurry up and get one if you don’t want to rely on video game scalpers to obtain the coveted console.
The console was available for pre-order in April, and those units all sold out within hours. Gamers stood in lines that wrapped around retailers on Wednesday night, and even camped to save their spot in line for a chance to purchase Nintendo’s newest console during the midnight release.
The Nintendo Switch 2 does resemble the original Nintendo Switch in appearance, but it has many new features, including a larger screen, newer joycons, a different color scheme, and a much faster gaming processor capable of 4k video output.
It arrives just in time for summer, to keep those kids occupied when they can’t be outside before school starts again in the fall.
