Southern Baptists Vote to Seek Repeal of Same-Sex Marriage

The Southern Baptist Convention voted June 10 to seek repeal of the 2015 Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage (Obergefell v. Hodges), doubling down on conservative views about gender and sexuality. The resolution defines marriage as between a man and a woman, affirms only two genders, opposes transgender ideology and commercial surrogacy, and calls for defunding Planned Parenthood. This move reflects the denomination’s effort to influence U.S. law similar to their role in overturning Roe v. Wade, despite broad public support for LGBTQ+ rights. The resolution, rooted in traditionalist evangelical beliefs, was overwhelmingly approved with little debate.

Just a man trying to eliminate the bias in mainstream media, and make relevant news more accessible to people than it ever has been. Don't feel obligated, but if you want to throw me a bone or two, I won't object.
